He is of Nicaraguan descent, with his parents, Alex Rivas and Gala Rivas Guzman, hailing from Managua, Nicaragua. Alex grew up alongside his older brother, Harry, and younger brother, Henry, in a close-knit family environment. He attended Sparks High School in Sparks, Nevada, where he completed his high school education.
